TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Water Department has announced a lane closure on East Osborne Avenue, impacting traffic between North 42nd Street and North 43rd Street. The closure began today, February 21st, at 9:00 AM and affects the eastbound outer lane.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to conduct maintenance on the water distribution system. Barricades and flaggers are in place to assist with traffic flow and rerouting. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and to exercise caution when driving through the affected area.

The Water Department anticipates that the work will be completed and normal traffic patterns will resume by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. However, the schedule is contingent upon weather conditions, and modifications to the lane closures may be necessary during the work.
The Tampa Water Department staff and crews appreciate the public’s patience during this maintenance period.
