TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should be aware of upcoming lane closures and shifting traffic patterns on West Kennedy Boulevard due to ongoing water main repair work.
Starting at 9:00 a.m. today, Friday, December 6th, the outside eastbound lane of West Kennedy Boulevard will be closed between South Bungalow Park Avenue and South Habana Avenue. This closure allows the Tampa Water Department to complete a permanent restoration following earlier repairs to a water main break.

To minimize disruption during peak traffic times, all lanes will reopen for the weekend from 5:00 p.m. today until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9th.
Starting Monday, the lane closure will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily until the restoration work is completed. This schedule is expected to continue through Wednesday, December 11th, weather permitting.
Barricades and signs will be in place to guide traffic flow. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through the area and to anticipate potential delays.
