TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists traveling southbound on I-275 will encounter a temporary ramp closure to eastbound I-4 (Exit 45B) overnight on Thursday, April 3rd. The closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, April 4th, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for crews to conduct maintenance work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.

Drivers seeking to access eastbound I-4 will be detoured as follows:
- Continue southbound on I-275.
- Exit I-275 using Exit 45A (Jefferson Street).
- Keep right at the fork toward Downtown East.
- Turn left onto Scott Street.
- Re-enter the interstate using the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be deployed to guide motorists through the detour. Drivers are advised to exercise caution in the work zone and be aware of construction personnel.
