Tampa Traffic Alert: I-275 Ramp To I-4 Closing Sunday Night

TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists in Tampa should be aware of a temporary ramp closure this Sunday night. The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45B) to eastbound I-4 will be closed from 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 2nd, to 5 a.m. on Monday, February 3rd, weather permitting.

Drivers will need to detour around the closure by continuing south on I-275, exiting at Exit 45A (Jefferson Street), keeping right at the fork toward Downtown East, turning left onto Scott Street, and then re-entering eastbound I-4.

Electronic message boards and signage will be in place to guide motorists through the detour. Drivers should exercise caution in the work zone and be alert for construction workers.

This closure is necessary for crews to carry out construction activities as part of the I-275 Capacity Improvements project.
