TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists traveling on East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tampa should be aware of a lane closure starting today, March 20, 2025.
The outside eastbound lane of East MLK Boulevard between North 37th Street and North 36th Street will be closed starting at 9:00 AM today. The Tampa Water Department is conducting essential maintenance on the water distribution system in the area.

Barricades and signs will be in place to guide traffic and assist with rerouting.
The lane closure will be in effect daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All lanes are expected to reopen each day at 4:00 PM and then close again at 9:00 AM the following morning until the work is completed.
The Tampa Water Department anticipates the maintenance work and return to normal traffic patterns will be completed by 4:00 PM on Monday, March 24th.
