A 16-year-old female in Tampa reported being contacted online by an unknown suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Christopher Patrinostro, who sent nude images of the female to her and demanded more. He threatened to leak the material if the victim did not comply.

The victim bravely contacted the Tampa Police Department, and detectives began a detailed investigation. They gathered evidence, followed up on leads, and identified Patrinostro as the suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued, and on June 26, 2024, members of the Tampa Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Patrinostro at his home in Brandon. Working in partnership with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Tampa Police detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and seized devices belonging to Patrinostro.
