TAMPA, FL. – Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at the 2000 block of W. Beach St. at 11:06 am on Sunday around 12:43 pm.
Engine 9 was first on the scene and found a single-story residential structure with smoke and flames showing from the structure.
Residents had exited the home safely prior to our arrival. Firefighters made an interior attack on the fire. A primary and secondary search was completed with no other occupants in the home
The fire was under control within 15 minutes. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians reported at the scene. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
“Our fire investigator was on scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation,” said Vivian McIlrath, PIO for Tampa Fire Rescue.
