TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying potential witnesses to a shooting that occurred in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The shooting took place around 1:00 AM on January 1st near the intersection of North Tampa Street and East Cass Street. A juvenile victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated and later released.
Detectives have been diligently gathering evidence and pursuing leads in the case. After reviewing surveillance footage from the area, they have identified three individuals who were present near the time of the shooting and may have crucial information relevant to the investigation.

It is important to emphasize that these individuals are not considered suspects in the case.
The Tampa Police Department stresses that any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be valuable to the investigation.
