TAMPA, Fla. – Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in an armed robbery at the Barrymore Hotel in Tampa.
The suspect, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a backpack, was captured on surveillance footage climbing over the front reception counter and rummaging through the cash register.
After removing cash, he was confronted by employees. The suspect then threw the cash at the employees and pulled a knife on them outside the hotel before fleeing on a bicycle. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
