Tampa Police: Missing, Endangered 79-Year-Old Man With Dementia Located Safe

TAMPA, Fla. – Douglas Morris has been located and is safe, according to Tampa Police Department.

ORIGINAL REPORT: The Tampa Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing and endangered elderly man.

Douglas Morris, 79, was last seen on Monday, April 7, 2025, in the vicinity of the 3700 block of E Yukon Street in Tampa.

Mr. Morris is described as wearing all black clothing at the time of his disappearance: black shoes, black pants, a black shirt, a black jacket, and notably, a black fedora hat.

Authorities are particularly concerned for his well-being as he is believed to suffer from dementia and may be in need of care.
