TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police are investigating an aggravated battery incident that resulted in the death of an adult male.
Officers responded to a call on the 8700 block of N Packwood Avenue around 2:59 p.m. and discovered the victim with upper body trauma.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are actively working to gather evidence, determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, and identify a suspect.
While the investigation is ongoing, preliminary findings suggest this was an isolated event, and there is no perceived threat to the community.
