Tampa Police Need Your Help In Fatal Hit-And-Run

TAMPA, Fla.- Tampa Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash and need your help.

TAMPA, Fla.- Tampa Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash and need your help.

On October 16, 2023, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Tampa Police Officers responded to the 2600 block of Causeway Blvd, near the Shrimp Docks, in reference to a deceased white male.

Upon officers arrival, they located the deceased male on the southbound shoulder of the highway, near the bike lane.

Near the victim, officers also located a blue “Huffy” bicycle and several pieces of vehicle debris. Based on the preliminary investigation, the hit and run is believed to have occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., on October 16, 2023.

The victim was identified and next-of-kin was notified. 

Officers are actively searching for the vehicle and suspect involved. The color of the vehicle is unknown, but evidence suggests that the vehicle involved is a 2016-2019 Honda Civic with front-end passenger side damage (Headlight and Side Marker).
