TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Department is asking the public for tips in solving a homicide of a 61-year-old man.

Investigators say on the morning of July 5, Tampa Police responded to the 3000 block of Elmore Ave for the report of a deceased person.

Officers arrived to find the victim, later identified as 61-year-old Richard Martin, located in his truck with upper body trauma.

Detectives have been working to develop leads and identify and apprehend the suspect involved in Richard’s homicide.

Richard’s family has authorized the release of his information in the hope that someone in the community may be able to provide information that could help detectives with their investigation.
