Tampa Police: Missing, Endangered 22-Year-Old Woman Located

TAMPA, Fla. – 22-year-old Makayla Thedy, who was reported as missing and endangered, was located this morning and will be connected with the support she needs, police say.

Her infant child was successfully reunited with family members. 

PREVIOUS REPORT: The Tampa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 22-year-old Makayla Thedy, a missing and endangered adult female.

Thedy was last seen at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2025, in the 8300 block of N 39th Street. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray pants.

According to police, Thedy is believed to suffer from several mental health disorders and may be in need of immediate care. She left her child unattended earlier in the day. The child was found safe, and the Department of Children and Families is working to reconnect him with family.

The Tampa Police Department is concerned for Thedy’s well-being and is urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

Anyone who locates Makayla Thedy is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130 and refer to case number 2025-114223.
