TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early Monday morning on the 6100 block of N 22nd Street.
Officers responded to the scene shortly after 6:00 a.m. following a report of the crash. The driver, an adult male and the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Authorities have not yet notified the next of kin.

As the investigation continues, N 22nd Street remains closed between E Hanna Avenue and E Idlewild Avenue. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to avoid the area.
Tampa Police urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the department.
