TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are currently investigating a Vehicle vs. Pedestrian crash that occurred around 7:45 a.m. today at the intersection of W. Hillsborough Ave and N. Habana Ave.
Preliminary findings indicate the driver was turning eastbound on W. Hillsborough Ave when the pedestrian crossed outside the crosswalk. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
Eastbound lanes of W Hillsborough Ave were closed at N Habana Ave. but have reopened.
