TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday in the 1000 block of East 26th Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired shortly before 9:30 a.m. and discovered an adult male victim with upper body trauma.
The victim was transported to a local hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest the incident was a random act of violence, but detectives are actively pursuing leads to determine the motive and identify those responsible.
