TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place early Monday morning in the area of N 34th Street and E Emma Street.

Just before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, officers responded to the 4500 block of N 34th Street in reference to a ShotSpotter detection.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased adult male with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
