TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police have arrested 42-year-old Maria Montesino for the robbery of Grow Financial Federal Credit Union on September 17th.
Montesino allegedly entered the bank and claimed a man outside had instructed her to commit the robbery, threatening to detonate a bomb if she did not comply.

After receiving the money, Montesino fled the scene. Detectives swiftly located her at a nearby apartment complex and took her into custody. No evidence was found to support her claims of a male accomplice or a bomb threat.
Montesino has been charged with three felonies and is currently being held at Orient Road Jail.
