HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 34-year-old Tampa man tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident on SR-674 early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred just east of 30th Street Southeast, where the man reportedly ran across the highway just after midnight and into the path of an oncoming GMC Sierra driven by a 31-year-old Leesburg man.

Despite being transported to a nearby hospital, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the GMC Sierra was not injured in the accident.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
