TAMPA, Fla. – To help residents protect their vehicles from potential flooding caused by Tropical Storm Milton, the City of Tampa is offering free parking in all city-operated garages. This offer is especially important for electric vehicle (EV) owners, whose cars are particularly vulnerable to water damage.

Free parking begins Sunday, October 6th and lasts until 5 PM on Thursday, October 10th. Residents in low-lying areas are encouraged to park their vehicles on the upper levels of these garages. EVs should be parked on the 3rd floor or higher.

  • Fort Brooke Garage: 107 N. Franklin St.
  • Twiggs Street Garage: 901 E. Twiggs St.
  • Centro Ybor Garage: 1500 E. 5th Ave.
  • Palm Fernando Garage: 2010 N. 13th St.
  • Pam Iorio Garage: 301 Channelside Dr.
  • Whiting Garage: 118 S. Florida Ave.
  • Tampa Convention Center Garage: 141 E. Brorein St.
  • William F Poe Garage: 802 N. Ashley Dr.

Important Reminders:

  • Parking is at the owner’s risk. Remember to lock your vehicle and remove valuables.
  • Normal parking fees will resume after 5 PM on Thursday, October 10th.
