Tampa Native, US Navy Chief Demetrius Souza Sends Best Wishes To Tampa Bay Bucs For 2024 Season

TAMPA, Fla. – Chief Demetrius Souza, a Tampa native currently serving in the United States Navy, has extended his best wishes to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2024 football season.

“I spent most of my childhood in Tampa, and I remember the sounds of the cannons going off when they scored,” said Souza. “Go Bucs!”

Souza, who enlisted in the Navy 17 years ago, now serves as a yeoman with Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 137. As he continues to carry out his duties alongside fellow sailors, Souza takes great pride in serving his country.

“Serving in the Navy is a means to provide for my family, as well as upholding a legacy,” added Souza. “My dad did 20 years in the Air Force, and I’m about to complete 20 years in the Navy.”
