HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Early Thursday morning, a commercial vehicle driver experienced a medical emergency while traveling eastbound on SR-400 (I-4) near Branch Forbes Road.

In an attempt to pull over to the shoulder, the driver accidentally accelerated, colliding with and going over the guardrail.

Fortunately, the 60-year-old Tampa man behind the wheel was not injured in the incident.
