Tampa Man Killed While Working Under Broken Down Car On I-275

TAMPA, FL. – A 30-year-old Tampa man was killed overnight when a jack failed on a car that he was under on I-275.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, on Monday at 12:13 AM, Troopers responded to the report of a fatality along the inside shoulder of the southbound lanes of I-275, north of Howard Avenue. 

Upon arrival, Troopers determined that a 30-year-old Tampa man suffered fatal injuries while working under a disabled 1997 Acura sedan and the jack failed, resulting in the vehicle falling on the man.
