TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa resident Darnell Credit, 51, has been sentenced to over six years in federal prison, followed by lifetime supervision, for possessing and receiving child sexual abuse material.
Credit will also pay $21,000 in restitution and forfeit the electronic devices used in the crime.
The FBI’s search of Credit’s home in 2021 uncovered over a thousand images and videos of child sexual abuse, including alarming content.

This case was a collaborative effort between the FBI, Tampa Police Department, and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Abigail K. King and Ross Roberts prosecuted it.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing problem of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
