TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Officers have arrested and charged a local man with DUI following a deadly crash on January 9th, 2024.
Officers responded to the 700 block of N Dale Mabry Highway around 9:40 pm Tuesday night regarding a crash where a driver struck a building, causing property damage.
It was reported to investigators the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed while driving southbound on N Dale Mabry Hwy before making a sudden lane change, exiting the roadway, and then hitting a power pole.

The vehicle continued in this direction running over an adult male sleeping near the parking lot before then striking a building. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Witnesses reported to police the driver removed a can of an alcoholic beverage from the vehicle prior to the arrival of officers. When officers made contact with the driver, they noticed visible signs of impairment.
The driver refused a breath test, but a medical blood test later measured at.187.
Angel Manuel Molina, 30, was charged and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
Police say that Molina’s Florida driver’s license was suspended on 12/28/2021.
The victim in this crash will be identified pending next-of-kin notification.
