Tampa Man Charged With Robberies In Marion, Hernando, And Hillsborough Counties

TAMPA, Fla. – A 23-year-old Tampa man, Ron Yarde, has been charged with conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.

Yarde is accused of participating in a series of robberies in Brooksville, Ocala, and Tampa between May and July 2024. These robberies targeted convenience stores, drug stores, gas stations, and retail stores.

Yarde’s alleged accomplice, Malcolm Green, was indicted on similar charges in September 2024 and is awaiting trial.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Diego F. Novaes.
