Tampa House Fire Quickly Contained By Hillsborough County Fire Rescue

TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) crews successfully extinguished a residential structure fire on Oban Avenue in Tampa on Thursday afternoon.

The HCFR Emergency Dispatch Communications Center began receiving 911 calls at 4:35 PM from multiple callers reporting a house fire at 11710 Oban Avenue.

Upon arrival, the first engine confirmed a working fire, with smoke and flames visible through the residence’s roof. Firefighters deployed hose lines and aggressively attacked the blaze, bringing it under control within 20 minutes.

Crews conducted thorough searches of the residence and confirmed that no occupants were inside at the time of the fire. Fortunately, no civilians or first responders sustained injuries during the incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
