Tampa Home Damaged In Saturday Afternoon Fire, Dog Rescued

TAMPA, Fla. – A two-story residential structure on Fox Creek Drive in Tampa suffered damage from a fire that broke out on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call from the homeowner reporting smoke inside the house at 4:19 PM.

Firefighters arrived within eight minutes of the call and quickly assessed the situation. They found the large structure filled with smoke. The fire was swiftly controlled within 30 minutes, preventing further damage to the property.

Fortunately, civilians and firefighters were not injured. In a heartwarming turn of events, a dog was safely rescued from the home during the incident. HCFR is still investigating the cause of the fire.
