TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Mya Elizabeth Young, a 15-year-old Tampa High School student, for allegedly threatening to “shoot up” Alonso High School in a text message.

The Sheriff’s Office School Threat Assessment and Response Team responded to Alonso High School and took Young into custody.

Detectives currently do not believe Young has access to any weapons.
