TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Fire Rescue (TFR) battled a two-alarm fire at a commercial restaurant on South Howard Avenue early this morning.
Firefighters arrived at the 1300 block of S. Howard Ave. around 4:45 a.m. to find heavy smoke billowing from the roof of the modified two-story building. Crews initially attempted an interior attack but were forced to switch to a defensive and aerial strategy due to the intensity of the flames.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported among firefighters or civilians. A thorough search confirmed the building was unoccupied.
