Tampa Fire Rescue Battles Residential Blaze In Woodland Terrace

TAMPA, Fla. – A single-story home on the 3400 block of E. Powhatan Ave in Woodland Terrace caught fire Tuesday morning, prompting a swift response from Tampa Fire Rescue (TFR). Firefighters arrived at the scene at 11:57 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames billowing from the back of the house.

Crews quickly conducted primary and secondary searches, confirming no occupants were inside the structure.

They initially attempted an interior attack on the fire but shifted to a defensive approach due to changing conditions. The blaze was extinguished within 15 minutes.

No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported. A TFR fire investigator is currently on scene, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
