Tampa Fire Rescue Battles House Fire On N. Mitchell Ave

TAMPA, Fla. – Just before 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, Tampa Fire Rescue crews rushed to the scene of a house fire on the 2900 block of N. Mitchell Avenue. Multiple 911 calls reported smoke and flames billowing from the two-story residence.

Firefighters arrived to find the first floor of the home engulfed in flames. Crews bravely entered the building to search for any occupants, but thankfully, all residents had already escaped safely.

It took firefighters approximately 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control. During the operation, E. Floribraska Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic.

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Tampa Fire Marshal.
