TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Electric (TECO) is making significant progress in restoring power to customers impacted by Hurricane Milton. As of Thursday night, crews have successfully restored electricity to over 150,000 customers since 7 a.m. that morning.
Despite the widespread damage caused by the storm, TECO crews worked tirelessly throughout the day to assess damage, restore essential community services, and begin restoring power to residential areas.
The company has deployed a massive workforce of over 6,000 utility workers who will continue restoration efforts around the clock.

“Please be patient as we work to recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Milton,” said TECO in a social media statement.
As of 9:01 AM Friday, Find Energy reports that 536,403 TECO customers need to be restored.
