PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – A Tampa man has been arrested and charged after a vehicle collision with a pedestrian in Pinellas Park resulted in a fatality.
The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash at approximately 6:00 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in the parking lot of 12210 66th Street North.
The investigation revealed that a white box truck, while backing up toward a loading bay, struck a pedestrian who was standing in a parking stall.

The driver of the truck was identified as Eligabriel Caez Negron, born on November 24, 1999, and a resident of Tampa. Police determined that Caez Negron was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving on a Suspended License Resulting in Death.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local medical facility, where they were later pronounced deceased.
