Shattered Tampa Car Wash Violent Injury

Tampa Car Wash Surveillance Video Sought After Windshield Violently Shattered, Injuring Man

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa resident James Rogers, 61, filed a “Petition for Pure Bill of Discovery” against the Circle K store located at 3930 River International Drive and Mark VII Equipment, Inc. Mark VII is a WashTec Group company with global locations, specializing in car wash equipment and supplies.

Rogers wants surveillance video from Circle K or Mark VII Equipment regarding a tragic incident inside its car wash on May 9, 2021.

According to the “Pure Bill of Discovery,” Rogers was “injured when he drove his vehicle into the car wash… his vehicle was violently impacted by the brush arm of the car wash. The violent impact shattered the windshield of Petitioner James Rogers’ vehicle and caused (him) serious injuries.”

In September and October 2021, both Defendants were petitioned to render videotapes of the car wash incident.

But Constitution State Services, a third-party administrator for Travelers Insurance Group representing the Defendants allegedly refused to identify which Defendant possessed a video of the incident, although they acknowledged such video existed.

They then abruptly denied the claim and terminated the proceedings.

While a suit hasn’t been filed yet, Rogers could file a negligence suit against either or both -Circle K or Mark VII.
