TAMPA, Fla. – Get ready for a thrilling season of hockey! The Tampa Bay Lightning unveiled their 2024-25 regular season schedule, presented by AdventHealth. Buckle up for an 82-game battle as the Bolts fight for glory.
Season Opener and Home Sweet Home:
- The Lightning kick things off on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes on October 11th.
- The excitement returns home on October 12th for the much-anticipated home opener against the Hurricanes at AMALIE Arena.
- Tampa Bay enjoys home ice advantage for six of their first ten games.

Matchup Madness:
- The Bolts face every NHL team at least twice.
- They’ll battle their division rivals, the Atlantic, four times each (except the Sabres and Canadiens, who they’ll face three times).
- Get ready for inter-conference showdowns! The Lightning take on each Western Conference team twice, including the brand new Utah Hockey Club – facing them at home on March 27th and away on March 22nd.
Home and Away:
- The Bolts maintain a balanced schedule, playing 41 games at home and 41 on the road.
- Gear up for the longest home stretch of the season – a five-game residency at AMALIE Arena from January 28th through February 6th.
- Buckle up for adventure! The longest road trips feature four games apiece, happening a total of four times throughout the season.
Back-to-Back Battles:
- The Lightning will face the challenge of 12 back-to-back matchups.
- Only one set features consecutive home games (December 28th vs. Rangers, December 29th vs. Canadiens).
- Prepare for travel! Seven back-to-backs are road trips, while four split home and away games.

- January and March are the most action-packed months, featuring 15 games each.
- March boasts seven home games at AMALIE Arena, tying November for most home games in a single month.

4 Nations Face-Off Replaces All-Star Weekend:
- Mark your calendars! The 2025 NHL 4 Nations Face-Off takes the place of the All-Star Weekend.
- The tournament takes center stage from February 12th-20th in Montreal and Boston.
- Witness international competition with seven games over nine days featuring Canada, Finland, Sweden, and the United States, each with a roster of 23 NHL players.
