TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Lightning have bolstered their defensive corps by signing newly acquired defenseman J.J. Moser to a two-year contract, with an average annual value (AAV) of $3.375 million, announced Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois today.
Moser, 24, joins the Lightning after being acquired from the Utah Hockey Club on June 29th. The Swiss-born defenseman had a strong showing with the Arizona Coyotes last season, amassing five goals and 26 points in 80 games.

His performance ranked him second among Coyotes defensemen in points and assists (21) and tied for second in goals. He averaged over 20 minutes of ice time per game while also contributing defensively with 112 blocked shots and 21 takeaways.
A second-round pick by the Coyotes in the 2021 NHL Draft, Moser has appeared in 205 career NHL games, all with Arizona, totaling 16 goals and 72 points. His new contract with the Lightning will run through the 2025-26 season.pen_sparktunesharemore_vert
