TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Lightning celebrated Stephanie Haile as its latest Community Hero during the October 17th game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Haile received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and Jabil, which she will dedicate to expanding the reach of New Life Warehouse, a non-profit she founded.
Haile’s journey began with her work as a Guardian ad Litem, where she witnessed firsthand the struggles of families wanting to foster children but lacking basic furniture to meet home study requirements. This inspired her to take action, initially by collecting and delivering items herself, and eventually leading to the creation of New Life Warehouse.

The organization has grown significantly, now assisting not only foster families but also those transitioning out of homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence and trafficking. In just four years, New Life Warehouse has supported over 2,000 Tampa Bay families.
The $50,000 grant will enable New Life Warehouse to purchase two enclosed trailers for furniture pickup and delivery, as well as essential items like beds, mattresses, and dressers. This will allow them to fully furnish homes for 42 local families currently without any possessions.
Haile is the 592nd Lightning Community Hero since the program’s inception in 2011. The Lightning Foundation has now donated a staggering $31.97 million to nearly 750 local nonprofits, with a further $10 million commitment over the next five seasons.
