TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced that forward Conor Sheary has been assigned to the Syracuse Crunch, their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
Sheary, 32, has played in three games for the Lightning this season, averaging just over 11 minutes of ice time per game. Last season, he appeared in 57 games for the Bolts, recording 4 goals and 15 points.

The 5-foot-8 forward was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2015. He has also played for the Buffalo Sabres and the Washington Capitals before joining the Lightning.
This move likely provides Sheary with more playing time and an opportunity to further develop his game at the AHL level.
