TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced the details for “GAME ONe,” a day-long celebration to mark the start of the 2024-25 season. The event will kick off at 3 p.m. and continue through the Bolts’ home opener against the Carolina Hurricanes, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. on October 12. GAME ONe promises fans an unforgettable experience with live entertainment, giveaways, and special surprises.
The festivities will feature a FREE pre-game concert on Ford Thunder Alley by a yet-to-be-announced musical guest. Fans can also look forward to the return of the Lightning Blue Carpet Walk, where players will greet fans at approximately 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees will have the chance to win more than $20,000 in prizes, including tickets to Lightning games, concerts, autographed memorabilia, retail gift cards, and more. Starting at 3 p.m., fans can enjoy 50% off beer, soda, water, snacks, and grill cart items from local food trucks on Ford Thunder Alley. Additionally, two lucky fans will win premium seats to watch the Lightning take on the Hurricanes that night.
Families can enjoy the Kids Zone on Channelside Drive, featuring face painting, ball hockey, balloon animals, and other activities. Special guest appearances from Lightning broadcasters and alumni will also highlight the event. Fans without game tickets are invited to join the exclusive watch party on Ford Thunder Alley, followed by a post-game party at 10 p.m., weather permitting.

A street closure around AMALIE Arena will take place on Channelside Drive, where fans can enjoy activities such as food trucks, mobile retail stores, and promotional giveaways from local partners.
To further energize fans for the upcoming season, the Lightning will also host a series of events leading up to GAME ONe, starting with the Lightning Pep Rally on September 25 in Orlando, presented by Coors Light. Fans can grab “Go Bolts” flags and Lightning merchandise at community events ahead of the home opener.
