TAMPA, Fla. – The Bucs have been near the bottom of the NFL in rushing the last couple of years, and even though they improved a little last season, Running Back Rachaad White really believes that’s about to change with new offensive coordinator Liam Coen.
“Whatever Coach thinks is best for us to win,” White said on the first day of offseason workouts. “He’s (Coen) shown us like two different sets of tight ends. Just different things that we can run that’s way different than we was running last year.”

White came into his own last season, rushing for 990 yards, six touchdowns, and 3.6 yards per carry.
Much of the emphasis was on bringing back their stars, like quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Mike Evans on offense. White believes the mix of new guys coming in should be beneficial.
“We’re getting our big-time leaders back and young guys following their lead.”

White wants to be more consistent. He says head coach Todd Bowles was right in telling him early last season to not worry about making the big play and just hit the hole hard and take what’s there.
Bucs right now are just going through conditioning and meetings this first week of the offseason workouts. White also said the vibe is good inside the building and he’s excited to see what more of this new offense has to offer.
