TAMPA, Fla. – For the second straight season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dampened the Cowboys’ prime-time opener.
With a final score of 19-3, the Bucs had their way with Dallas on the first edition of Sunday night Football for the 2022 season.
In the third quarter, Mike Evans caught back-to-back passes from QB Tom Brady including a one-hander against the Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs for a touchdown.
Running back Leonard Fournette led the way for the Buccaneers, rushing for 130 yards on 21 carries.
Tom Brady improved to 7-0 in his career against Dallas with Sunday’s victory.
The Buccaneers (1-0) will be on the road in Week 2 with the New Orleans Saints (1-0), who came back to send the Falcons flying on Sunday.
