TAMPA, Fla. – Detectives have been working to develop leads and compile evidence to solve the robbery of the TD Bank that occurred on October 30. With dedicated investigation, probable cause was developed and an arrest warrant issued for 46-year-old Roger Salik.
On November 5, members of the Daytona Beach Police Department arrested Salik following a traffic stop. Tampa Police detectives traveled to Volusia County Jail to interview Salik, who provided a Post-Miranda statement admitting to the bank robbery. After conducting a search warrant on his hotel room, detectives collected the defendant’s clothing, a mask, and recovered the remaining US Currency taken during the robbery.
Salik, who is from Pennsylvania and has no known ties to Florida, was also charged with an additional Bank Robbery in Sarasota County on 11/2/2020. He currently remains in the Volusia County Jail.
