Tampa Armed Barricaded Man Situation Ends Peacefully After Hours Of Negotiations

TAMPA, FL. – Tampa Police have taken an armed suspect into custody after an overnight standoff that started at 2:43 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Dandre Lee, 41, was taken into custody without incident.

Lee had barricaded himself inside a residence in the the2700 block of E. 12th Avenue after assaulting a neighbor during an altercation that escalated overnight.

Officers originally responded at 2:43 AM to a disturbance regarding two neighbors engaged in a verbal altercation over money.

During the verbal altercation, Lee produced a gun and reportedly fired it in the air before striking the victim in the head with the pistol. The victim called the police, and Lee fired the weapon again.

The neighbor has been transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.me.

After hours of negotiations, Lee exited the home and was immediately taken into custody. He will be transported to Hillsborough County Jail, charged with Aggravated Battery and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
