Many of the protests scheduled for yesterday, were postponed or canceled, due to the weather. Organizers have been creating flyers and distributing these digitally as well as printed versions.
The confirmed protests that we currently know about are Curtis Hixon Park, City of Tampa Circuit Court, Centennial Park, and Fred Ball Park.
The protest are for police brutality awareness and justice for George Floyd’s death.
In Minnesota, just yesterday, Hennepin County District Attorney Mike Freeman and Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that a second-degree murder charge has been filed against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in addition to his previous charges in the Floyd death.
The other three former officers involved in the fatal arrest of George Floyd were charged and taken into custody.
