PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Update: The roads have reopened. The suspect is in custody.
Pinellas County Sheriff warned drivers that because of the ongoing swat situation, eastbound and westbound Ulmerton Road from 49th Street North to Feathersound Drive would be closed.
Pinellas Park police said a man has barricaded himself inside a hotel room at a Comfort Inn and has been in a standoff with authorities for several hours.
SWAT has been on the scene since 10 PM Wednesday. The roads have opened.
