The victim was walking in the area when Gipson allegedly approached her, punched her in the stomach, cut her arm with a knife, and forcibly removed rings from her finger with his mouth.

Shortly after the robbery, Gipson pawned the stolen rings at a pawn shop in Pinellas Park, providing his identification in the process. This evidence led to his arrest.

Gipson is charged with Robbery with a Deadly Weapon or Firearm and Dealing in Stolen Property.
