ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has arrested an individual in connection with an incident that prompted a heightened security alert at Zephyrhills High School on Thursday.
The school was placed on “alert campus” status as a precautionary measure while deputies searched for a subject who was not permitted on school grounds. The individual has since been apprehended.
Although the suspect is no longer at the school, an increased law enforcement presence will remain on campus throughout the day to ensure the safety and security of students and staff.

The Sheriff’s Office has emphasized that there is no ongoing safety threat to Zephyrhills High School or the surrounding community.
