Subject Injured After Pasco Deputies Fire Less-Lethal Rounds In Port Richey Incident

PORT RICHEY, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is investigating a disturbance involving a firearm that occurred Tuesday evening in Port Richey.

Around 7 p.m., deputies responded to a call in the Yew Tree Avenue area. Upon arrival, they located a subject with a firearm and attempted to make contact. After multiple attempts to de-escalate the situation, deputies fired less-lethal rounds at the subject.

The subject was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are currently available. The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
